Visiting: Surface Design
I have had the privilege of attending the Surface Design Show in London for the last three years and witnessed the annual evolution of materials firsthand.

February 2022 was when I was first introduced to the Surface Design Show. This was my first experience being surrounded by other creative minds within the industry, being able to ask questions upfront and interact with a variety of materials in person.

Surface opened my eyes to the wide variety of sustainable materials on the market and gave me the opportunity to incorporate them into my design studio projects.

During February of 2023 I was given the opportunity to return to Surface for a second time. I jumped at the opportunity, eager to see the variety of materials on showcase that year and to see how materials had evolved in the short span of a year.

This second experience of attending Surface was even more valuable to me a student designer than the year before. With industry experience behind me at this point I was able today more attention to the materials I was being shown and compare them counterparts on display.

This past February I attended Surface again for the third time, this time with much more confidence than in years prior and this time in search of particular materials.
